How We Research & Review
A source is evidence. An AI summary is not.
Research-based, not a lab test
Tangible Tek is an independent research publication. Coverage draws on published specifications, third-party reviews, and relevant user reports, with AI assistance and human editorial oversight.
Do not read a recommendation as a claim that we bought, used, or tested the product. Any first-hand testing needs to be identified in the article, with the conditions and limits of that testing.
What sources can tell us
- Manufacturer documentation: model details, compatibility, warranty terms, and published specifications. Advertised performance is not an independent measurement.
- Independent reviews: observed performance and use experience. Test conditions and the exact configuration matter.
- User reports: possible recurring problems and practical concerns. Individual reports and star ratings do not establish a failure rate.
- Retailer listings: a price and availability snapshot, not a guarantee of a future price or a complete specification sheet.
The intended process is to link important claims to their sources, separate reported findings from editorial interpretation, and identify uncertainty where sources disagree. Coverage depth can vary between articles.
How comparisons are framed
A useful comparison starts with a use case and budget. Performance, portability, compatibility, battery life, support, and price may matter differently depending on that context. Missing evidence should remain a limitation rather than being filled with an assumed result.
There is no claim here that a universal scoring rubric has been validated or applied to all published products. Ratings and rankings are editorial judgments, not standardized laboratory measurements. If an article does not explain a score's basis, the number should not be read as a precise comparison across categories.
AI assistance and oversight
AI tools help locate material, organize comparisons, summarize sources, and prepare drafts. Human editorial oversight evaluates the direction and recommendations; it is not a promise that every sentence has been individually edited.
AI can misread a specification, conflate product generations, or invent a citation. Its output is not an independent source. Important claims need to be checked against the underlying material, and unsupported claims should be omitted or clearly qualified.
Limits and corrections
Specifications, software behavior, prices, and availability can change. No recurring review schedule or automatic price-verification service is promised. A publication or update date is not evidence that every fact was rechecked on that date.
Before buying, confirm the exact model, regional specifications, and current offer with the manufacturer or retailer. See correction guidance and contact availability if you spot a problem, and the affiliate disclosure for the current funding status.
